Bioshock demo

Bioshock demo has gone up on 360 Marketplace, im stuck in farnborough for the week, someone give it a go and let me know if it lives up to the hype! Can't wait to try it.

Tried Blue Dragon demo at the weekend, quite dissappointing, really really wants to be Final Fantasy but just doesnt quite cut it.. felt like it was aimed at 10 years olds too, shame.. Graphics were nice tho, oh well, roll on Final Fantasy XIII *drool*

Woohoo! I now what I'll be doing tonight! Hope it's not too short.

Tried blue dragon for about 30 seconds then deleted it. Can't stand that type of game!

Tried stranglehold too, now that was good fun! Oddly enough it also reminded me of Max Payne 2 but with Tequila Time instead of Bullet time! Could definatley feel the John Woo influence. Tempted to get it.

OK I can't keep you in suspense any longer. It's awesome!
Very polished, they have clearly poured a huge amount of effort into this game. The graphics are impressive and look gorgeous at 1080P on my 24" Dell monitor but I'd have to say that GOW has the edge. The particle system effects are beatiful though, I know they had a group of guys just dedicated to water effects!
The demo was a decent length (about 30 minutes) and showed more then enough to get a good feel for the game mechanics. Didn't really notice anything special about the AI which I've heard much about though.
Really looking forward to getting stuck into this game, just can't decide whether to get it for XBox or PC!?

Excellent! yeah i saw in a few reviews about the AI and they were most impressed that not everything attacks you outright which is hardly ground breaking.. maybe the full game will offer up new aspects to this.

Cheers for the info, being a Mac head im gonna have to plump for the 360 version!

See now if this was PS3.. i could fire up my PSP, connect to my PS3 over the hotels internet connection and tell it to download it ready for when i get home.. ;) bah

Apparently you can complete bioshock without fighting at all, its supposed to be ridiculously good AI. I'm going to try it now (it took an age to DL before and I've not been around much the past few days)

Oh yeah, Stranglehold is incredible. Tequila was the same character Chow Yun Fat played in Hard Boiled. I loved Max Payne 1 and that blatantly borrowed from Woo flicks action wise, so its good to see John Woo involved in a game that now REALLY feels like an old school John Woo film (before he went all hollywood!)

Well, played the demo and loved it.

Seems everyone else does too..

Halo 3 may sell more but i have this down as game of the year.

If you want to eek a little bit more out of the demo looks like someone has discovered an unlock for Hard mode.

"From the Xbox 360 Dashboard, head into your Gamer Profile and select the Game Defaults option. Once in there, click on General and change the Difficulty option to "Hard." When you load up the BioShock demo, the previously unreachable Hard difficulty option will now be highlighted. If you accidentally hit the analog stick and move away from the Hard option (thus making it unreachable again), you can hit the B button to back out and give it another shot."

Lee, after playing the demo, there's no way you can do this without killing people, There was an old PC game.. Deus Ex.. i think by some of the same guys that had this option.. but not bioshock.. you have to kill the first enenmy you meet! with a bloody big wrench too! =)

Yes this is definatley not a game for pacifists!
