Crysis Demo

Tried the Crysis demo last night. Wow it's the most beautiful interactive slideshow ever! ;-)

Damn wish I still had the 8800GTX :-(
TBH with everything on low using my old 6800GTS I get about 25FPS which is just about playable, but obviously doesn't look nearly a nice. Just waiting for 8800GT to come out so I can get two! Should then be able to play it with everything maxed out so it looks like this!

Hey, will this system handle crysis very well?

Thanks for the advice.

The E6850 is a great processor and is probably one of the best you can get for Crysis even if it isn't a quad core.
8800GTS 320 might struggle a bit so you would probably only manage stable frame rates at 1024x768 on high.
Pretty decent system though.

so instead of a duo 3.0 ghz, would it be better to upgrade to the quad 2.4?

Yes, a Quad core is almost certainly preferable in Crysis as it is properly multi threaded.

Will geforce 8800 GT run this smooth?
I have fujitsu siemens, which has
core 2 quad prosessor, 8800 GT and
4 gb RAM.

Sounds like the same spec as my machine. Yes it will play smoothly even on High detail on at native res of 19" monitor, but does struggle to run at native res of my 24"
